Babino Polje is one of the oldest settlements on the island. The village is located at the foot of the hills of Veliki and Mali grad, and consists of three hamlets: Zadublje, Srčenovići and Zabriježe. It is about 4 kilometers long. Below the village is a spacious and fertile field. which gave the village its name.Nearby is the famous Ulysses Cave and Sutmiholj Bay with a beach.It is the central and still island place where the duke lived during the Dubrovnik Republic.During the XI. century the inhabitants built the first church dedicated to St. Pancras, the first patron saint of the island. The church was owned by the Benedictines from Lokrum in 1039. The village was founded by Roman Catholic parishes, but during the XI. century. Babino Polje became the administrative and ecclesiastical center of the whole island.

This small village is really a great getaway from everything. The sounds of nature as I took a walk was very calming and the view was amazing. Touring the church was also very good. I loved it

The nature and flora that surrounds the place is distinctive and gives the place a great touch to it. We visited the caves at the village and they were beautiful. Adventurous tour around the place as we enjoyed ourselves through the whole trip

Rich history and amazing place to visit and witness of the amazing things that it holds. We visited the church and were amazed by the beautiful sculptures and the altar as well as the gorgeous architectural building that it sits on.

We visited the church dedicated to St Pancras and the interior of the church is a haven for interior design lovers like my friend. The spacious and fertile land gave us the pleasant ambience and the lovely atmosphere to enjoy.

I am so thankful i got an opportunity to visit this village. i got to the popular Ulysses Cave and nearby southold beach where i had a relaxing time. i indulged in the local dishes for a premium experience.

The bay has some amazing beach that is attractive. We toured with my friends to the place and enjoyed ourselves to the fullest. We loved the view of the landscape and the sea and the serene environment that is refreshing and relaxing.

I would recommend this place for an epic adventure. I visited the Ulysses cave and it was a thrilling adventure. It has a dense vegetation. The Church of St. Pancras is a must visit. It was founded in 1039. Its history is so amazing.
