The settlement is located 5 km southeast of Lupoglav. The first settlement was an old fortress built in a strategically interesting and important place, on a narrow protruding rock that is surrounded on three sides by the precipices of torrents that flow from Učka. Around 1700 it was already in ruins. North of the fort was the church of St. Peter and Paul, but it was also demolished in World War II and was thoroughly rebuilt in 1997.Not far from the place is one of the most attractive sites of the Uchka Nature Park - Vela (or Vranjska) Draga canyon, a natural phenomenon and a reserve of natural origin which natural forces - earthquakes, winds, sun and water - began to form in the Cretaceous. You can find out more about this wonderful locality on the geological educational trail Vela Draga
