Trpanj is a hidden pearl of the Peljeshac peninsula, and is known under the motto 'a small town for a great vacation'. The archaeological site on the Gradina hill above the port of Trpanj testifies to the continuity of life in this area from prehistory to the present day. In addition to prehistoric traces, the remains of the Illyrians and Romans have been found.Today, Trpanj is a modern tourist destination, which also preserves its centuries-old tradition of fishing, viticulture and olive growing. For lovers of long walks, there is a promenade by the sea in the length of almost two kilometers and the hills on top of which small old churches are located.Trpanj has a really large number of beaches, which are mostly pebble or rocky. Most of them are can be reached by going down from the promenade by the sea, while above is a dense pine forest. A special experience is swimming in Blace Bay, because of the healing mud that can be used.
