The Motovun bell tower is the most recognizable part around the course of the river Mirna and is in a way a symbol of this beautiful landscape. It is 27 meters high and was built in the 13th century. It had the role of the main tower and observatory. Throughout its existence it has been successfully restored several times, and in the end it has been transformed into a magnificent bell tower which we can see how proud it stands today. You can learn and see a lot about its renovations, because they are all inscribed in the walls so that they would never be forgotten in time.
