Cissa je maleni otok smješten uz zapadnu obalu Istre, nedaleko od Rovinja. Otok Cissa se prvi put pominje po Pliniju starijem a navodno je potonuo za vrijeme velikih potresa u drugoj polovici VIII.st.Rovinjska lokalna historiografija zastupa tezu da je ant. Cissa bila na otočiću južno od grada, koji je potonuo u potresu u kasnoj antici, i da je preteča kasnijega (i današnjega) Rovinja. Mramorni natpis pronađen kod rta Barbariga 1778. otkriva da je na Cissi postojao pogon za proizvodnju vrlo luksuzne purpurne tkanine te prokurator i savjet cisanskih purpurana.

I loved this Islet. Its weather and climate was so good and relaxing. I enjoyed spending time on its beaches and sunbathing. Its waters were clean and wonderful for a swim.

Interesting history of the place that precedes it. We had the chance to tour around the place and loved the landscape and some of the inscriptions were amazing. Wonderful place to visit and great experience that we encountered.

Rich nature with unique flora that is lovely. Picturesque place as we toured the place and enjoyed the lovely landscape that we enjoyed through it all. Remarkable time we had on our trip and great memories.
