Čakovec
Prema dosada poznatim podacima, prvo naselje na današnjem području Čakovca podigli su Rimljani pod nazivom Aquama, kao utvrdu za vojne potrebe. Čakovec je dobio ime po grofu Dimitriju Csakyju (Čakiju), koji je početkom 13. stoljeća podigao drvenu utvrdu koja je prozvana “Čakov turen”. Prvi puta izrijekom Čakovec se, kao utvrđeni grad, spominje 1333. godine u ispravi kralja Roberta. Kroz svoju burnu povijest Čakovec je, kao i Međimurje, često mijenjao gospodare. Najznačajnije razdoblje je svakako 16. i 17. stoljeće, kada su u Čakovcu stolovali hrvatski banovi i vojskovođe iz obitelji Zrinski. Kroz više generacija obitelj Zrinski je od čakovečke utvrde stvorila jedan od najraskošnijih hrvatskih i europskih dvoraca toga doba.

My friends and i paid a visit and were fascinated by the history of Chakovec. We were thrilled by the stunning architectural style and the spectacular view of the castle, the structures are beautiful and gorgeous, i couldn't help as i gazed at it. The quiet and peacefulness of the castle acted as a healing place for me.

I was able to visit the Romanesque fortress. it was so huge. I loved its military display collection. The architectural design of this fortress is so stunning. The grass was well mowed. I enjoyed visiting this fortress. This town is generally beautiful.

Wonderful clean place that we were able to visit and marvel in it. We took a tour around one of the fascinating things at the place and it was remarkable. The castle was something else and the fortress was unforgettable. The views and the history of the place was the outstanding things that the place had.

The atmosphere here is really amazing mostly the historic ambience. There are also castles that trace back to some time back and I really loved it.

During my tour here i learnt that this place was built for the Romans with a fortress that served the military needs such as defence purposes during attacks. It was thrilling to know that it was named after a person who built the fortress. A great place with rich history.

The castle is what caught my attention,i loved the spectacular view and the magnificent interior designs and decorations in. It made me fall in love with art and design and as i walked out of the castle i applied for a art and design course in a university near my home. Nice work by the craftmen involved in building it.
