Cakovec
Nach den bisher bekannten Daten wurde die erste Siedlung auf dem heutigen Gebiet von Cakovec von den Römern unter dem Namen Aquama als Festung für militärische Zwecke errichtet. Cakovec wurde nach dem Grafen Dimitrij Csaky (Caki) benannt, der zu Beginn des 13. Jahrhunderts eine hölzerne Festung namens "Cakov turen" errichtete. Cakovec wurde erstmals 1333 in einer Urkunde von König Robert ausdrücklich als Festungsstadt erwähnt. Im Laufe seiner bewegten Geschichte wechselte Cakovec, wie auch Medimurje, häufig die Herren. Der bedeutendste Zeitraum ist sicherlich das 16. und 17. Jahrhundert, als in Cakovec kroatische Bans und Militärführer aus der Familie Zrinski herrschten. Über mehrere Generationen hinweg schuf die Familie Zrinski aus der Festung Cakovec eines der luxuriösesten kroatischen und europäischen Schlösser der damaligen Zeit.

My friends and i paid a visit and were fascinated by the history of Chakovec. We were thrilled by the stunning architectural style and the spectacular view of the castle, the structures are beautiful and gorgeous, i couldn't help as i gazed at it. The quiet and peacefulness of the castle acted as a healing place for me.

I was able to visit the Romanesque fortress. it was so huge. I loved its military display collection. The architectural design of this fortress is so stunning. The grass was well mowed. I enjoyed visiting this fortress. This town is generally beautiful.

Wonderful clean place that we were able to visit and marvel in it. We took a tour around one of the fascinating things at the place and it was remarkable. The castle was something else and the fortress was unforgettable. The views and the history of the place was the outstanding things that the place had.

The atmosphere here is really amazing mostly the historic ambience. There are also castles that trace back to some time back and I really loved it.

During my tour here i learnt that this place was built for the Romans with a fortress that served the military needs such as defence purposes during attacks. It was thrilling to know that it was named after a person who built the fortress. A great place with rich history.

The castle is what caught my attention,i loved the spectacular view and the magnificent interior designs and decorations in. It made me fall in love with art and design and as i walked out of the castle i applied for a art and design course in a university near my home. Nice work by the craftmen involved in building it.
