The peculiarity of this location goes back to the very history of the sovereignty of the Croatian people. Church of St. Lucije is the site of the Baška tablet - an old Croatian document in which the Croatian name was first written in the Croatian language, in the Croatian Glagolitic alphabet. Tourists from all over the world come to see one of the oldest and best preserved carved documents in Europe.

Beautiful Romanesque building that we had the chance to visit with my friends. Lovely place that we choose to visit and enjoyed the tremendous building that the church sits on. Had a lot of questions in my head and some of them were answered by the interesting historical story of the church that dates back in time. The place is quiet and peaceful for prayers and relaxing your mind from all the stress. We took some amazing photos at the church and with the bell tower at the church that was fantastic.

My trip to the Bashka was a success with a visit to the church. The church has a great history with some crucial things that play an important part to the history of the people. The church is simple and has the ancient touch that gives it a unique outlook that is impressive. The church is peaceful and quiet and serene for relaxing moment and had some little time to read some few pages of a book.

The interesting thing about this place is the croatian tablet written in Croatian language. Its quietness was stunning. This Romanesque Church was built in the 12th Century and it plays a great role in the history of the Croatians. Touring it was quite memorable.

The church is rich in Croation history. During our visit there we watched a film on the the famous Baka Plate and learnt alot of Croatioan names and how important the plate was and still is.
