Ornitološki rezervat Palud
Uvala Palud, smještena je 8 kilometara jugozapadno od grada Rovinja, a danas predstavlja jedini ornitološki park u Istri. Voda iz susjednih brda i dolina, kao i sjevernih bočnih izvora isprepliće se pa je tako pretvorila ovu prirodnu depresiju u blizini mora u jedinstvenu močvaru. Tijekom postojanja austrougarske vojne baze u Barbarigi, 200 m dug kanal prokopan je sve do mora kako bi se spriječio razvoj ličinki komaraca, odnosno prijenosnika malarije. Povezujući more i močvaru, Palud je privukao nove stanovnike poput sivog cipla i jegulja, vrsta koje vole slankastu vodu.. Raznolikost vrsta ptica selica najvažnije su obilježje ove močvare. Ornitolozi su primijetili boravak preko 200 vrsta ptica na Paludu. Brojne proljetne i jesenske migracije izvrsna su prilika za njihovo promatranje. Kako je park zabranjen lovcima, bogato je stanište fazana, sivih jarebica i prepelica. Sjeverni dio Paluda krije pravu prašumu, a na njegovim malenim otočićima se gnijezde galebovi. Uz uređenu stazu nalazi se promatračko mjesto koje olakšava nesmetano promatranje ptica u njihovom prirodnom okruženju i njihovo ponašanje tijekom hranjenja, gniježđenja ili odmora.

Swimming in its clear waters was a nice experience. I really loved sunbathing as I watched the birds. It was an experience. Its the perfect place to light a bonfire at night. The beach is not crowded at all. It is an awesome place for an adventurous experience.

As a historian, i was here for the third time.I was excited to find out the greatest feature of the swamp was, the migratory bird species. It was super fun boat cruising around the bay as we enjoyed the beauty of the swamp with my friends. We enjoyed swimming in the blue waters and sunbathing at the sandy beach. I was especially fascinated by the beautiful sceneries of the blue sea.

It was lovely to go swimming with my friends at the sea on mid morning hours with the warm relaxing temperatures.

The bay had an extraordinary view of the ocean. I also enjoyed watching the many types of colorful marine fish and sea creatures.
