Paklenica National Park
On the rough massif of Velebit, Paklenica National Park offers numerous outdoor opportunities for hiking, climbing and other sports. A designated UNESCO biological reserve, the park was established to protect the diverse flora and fauna, as well as the mountains themselves. Significantly due to the exposed white rock on the otherwise barren mountains and the sharply contrasting green forests below, Mala Paklenica and Velika Paklenica celebrate through the mountain range, creating their own dramatic high walls. The park is home to numerous species of birds and colonies, making it a paradise for bird watchers, and occasionally wildlife such as bears and wolves are recorded. The Parks Office is located in Starigrad (StariGrad-Paklenica) and provides everything you need for a safe visit, including maps and other useful information, along with exhibits and toilets (the entrance is in Marasovići, a little further north).Hot Tip: Try to visit during the colder spring or fall months when the park is especially green and lush.

The diversity in this place is so unique. There is a dense forest and bare land with little or no vegetation. I enjoyed hiking in this park. It was really challenging but worth it. The air was so fresh. Bird watching from the top of the peak was epic

This park is so wonderful. I hope to visit this park again. I and an amazing hiking experience. The white rocks were absolutely lovely. I saw different plant species. It was an experience I cannot even describe.

Being a bird watcher, I came here to enjoy this activity. This place had a famous park for birds. I went there an had a great time watching birds of different species. I even saw some birds that were very rare to see. My time here was great.

When I visited this place, I was provided with a map and a guide. We went to the park which had wolves and bears. I was afraid at first but my guide gave me courage to continue. We managed to sport a park of wolves sleeping under a tree. I loved this adventure.

I engaged in various active physical sporting activities while vacationing this location. My friend participated in hiking and climbing the various mountains in the location. I enjoyed the fact that they had equipment one could borrow. I will visit again soon.

My friends and I went for birdwatching in this location and I loved the different species that created their homes in this location. I learned about how they came into existence, triggers, and hot to calm them. It was a fantastic learning experience and will visit soon.
