Od svih naselja Općine Dugopolje, Kotlenice se nalaze na najvišoj nadmorskoj visini- na čak 490 metara nadmorske visine. Kotlenice su smještene istočno od Dugopolja na padinama visokog Mosora. Do ovog sela se dolazi slikovitom vijugavom cestom s koje se pruža prekrasan pogled na Dugopolje.Prirodna obilježja uvjetovala su razvoj i posjećenost Kotlenica, pa su one danas svojim prirodnim ljepotama i fenomenima nezaobilazno mjesto za ljubitelje spelologije i planinarenja. Sada kada smo to spomenuli, Kotlenice se mogu pohvaliti da se upravo ovdje nalazi i jedna od najljepših spilja u Hrvatskoj-poznata špilja Vranjača, zaštićeni spomenik prirode.

I loved how well kept and preserved the cave at this settlement making it monumental and unique. As a speleologist and hike lover, this was the coolest place to be. I explored through natural beauties and phenomena through my hiking.

The loved hiking and exploring caves. I found untouched caves at this place. My guide took me to several caves where we explored and later he showed me the hiking trails and we enjoyed this activity together. I had an amazing experience.

I enjoyed the hike to Kotlenice, the different but beautiful sights to see made my hike interesting. The place is just generally beautiful with a lot of naturally occurring features, but the best part of the visit was the caves, an exhilarating experience, especially the Vranjača cave. Would like to visit again
