This curiously named gallery in Old Novalja is a result of the joint effort of two artists - the painter Dalibor Laginja and the writer and designer Stanislav Habjan.
The gallery was once a post office; before that a fishing tools storage for the local fishermen; its founders refer to it as a “building site” for art and creativity.
Its creative source is the history of Old Novalja and the lives of its people, as seen most notably in the gallery’s project of collecting and documenting Old Novalja’s toponyms in order to preserve the rich cultural history of the area.
The importance of the gallery’s work has been recognized by the town of Novalja, the art workshop Petikat, as well as the Croatian Ministry of Culture, who remain faithful supporters and collaborators on the gallery’s ongoing projects.
The gallery is situated in Old Novalja, 5 km north of the town of Novalja and a little over 2 km north of the Planjka Trinćel beach.
