Sitting at the very north end of Old Novalja, this beach is one of those hidden, secret places every wandering tourist likes to chance upon on their travels. Made mostly of gravel, stones and rocks, with reefs and sea fauna easy to spot through the surface of the incredibly clear water, this beach will give you a full experience of wilderness - and snorkeling there will make a fantastic pastime, too.
However, its wild side has been just slightly tamed to make for a pleasurable visit - there are several little sandy beaches scattered throughout which make for easy water-access points, and a concrete staircase has been built for that purpose as well.
A part of this otherwise rocky beach is covered with fine pebbles and sand to make sunbathing for visitors more comfortable, but deck chairs are available for rent, too. There is no natural shade here, but beach umbrellas will provide for that.
The rest of available infrastructure includes showers, changing booths, toilets, benches, garbage cans and a small playground for children. There is also a beach bar, in case you get hungry or thirsty, and a spacious parking lot just outside of the beach.
For those who want to stretch their legs after sunbathing there is a lovely little promenade that will take you to the Old Novalja marine, and if you can’t go without water sports, water scooters and jet-skis are available for rent, too. And if you’d like your canine friends to have a great time, the Jadra Dog Beach is just a few minutes away.
