Sopot Waterfall is the second highest waterfall in Istria, and is 30 meters high. The climbing area is located in the village of Strana near Buzet. You will first reach the village of Brgad, but you have to go through it, drive about one kilometer on a gravel road, and when you return by asphalt road you are already in the village of Strana and there is the first guide for climbing Sopot. Then you have to drive about 500 meters downhill and you will soon come to another leading sign, with the same text. You can leave your car there and have approximately a 10-minute walk in the direction of the waterfall. When you finally reach the waterfall, you will be amazed by the beauty of this untouched nature. The Sopot waterfall passes through a hole carved into the stone by the water, and the view from below is breathtaking. The waterfall is rarely in ‘movement’, only during very rainy periods, and is also known as a place to climb for those eager for adventure. Because of its beauty, climbers named it Pandora (as in the movie Avatar), and the surrounding climbing paths were named after names from the same movie.
