The main goal of establishing this garden is to improve the said destination and to establish a representative garden that fits into other natural and cultural-historical contents of the National Park.

The culture of landscape design on the Brijuni Islands has a long history, and the most deserving of today's appearance of Brijuni are the former owner of the archipelago Paul Kupelwieser and manager Alojz Chufar, who created the first stylistically designed Mediterranean park in Europe.
