Count Jelichich Square or Jelachich Square, are one of the names that have been used for a long time for the main square of the Croatian capitals square. A gathering place for citizens and a place where various historical, political, sports and events took place. In the middle of the square is a statue of Count Josip Jelachich ( general and Count Croatian, Dalmatian and Slavonian from 1848 to 1859, member of the noble family Jelachich, and one of the most important Croatian politicians), the work of sculptor Dominik Fernkorn has changed its direction throughout history, and the location only once when it was removed during the communist regime. Next to the statue there is a fountain Mandushevac after which the city got its name, when according to the legend after the battle the girl Manda grabbed the water and gave it to an unknown ban, that is why Mandushevac and Zagreb.
