On the south side of the walls in Cres are the gates of Bragadin or Mala vrata. At the door, in addition to the coats of arms of Venetian nobles, there is also the lion of St. A stamp that represented the symbol of the Venetian Republic. The gate was built at the end of the 16th century in the time of Nikola Bragadin, and connects the Piazza with the Promenade. The more significant coats of arms on the door are those of the Grimani family and da Ponte, who were Venetian nobles.
