When it comes to culture, heritage and history in the municipality of Krshan, it is impossible to omit Plomin, one of the oldest Istrian settlements in general. Ancient Phlanona, Fianona, Italy, is another fortified town, surrounded by medieval ramparts from the 13th and 14th centuries and Renaissance defensive walls from the 16th and 17th centuries. It is located at the foot of the eponymous Plominska gora, on an elevation of 168 m above the Plomin bay and the bay. On the one hand, the view extends towards the Great Gate on Kvarner, the island of Cres and Rijeka, and on the other towards the Istrian mainland.Between the world wars it was part of fascist Italy, and the end of the Second World War was almost devastated. Although today only a hundred inhabitants live in Plomin, the rich past and the proximity of natural sights affect the increasing number of guests and the development of tourist facilities.
