Paklenica National Park
Der Nationalpark Paklenica liegt auf dem rauen Velebit-Massiv und bietet zahlreiche Möglichkeiten zum Wandern, Klettern und für andere Sportarten. Der von der UNESCO als biologisches Reservat ausgewiesene Park wurde eingerichtet, um die vielfältige Flora und Fauna sowie das Gebirge selbst zu schützen. Aufgrund des exponierten weißen Gesteins auf den ansonsten kargen Bergen und der stark kontrastierenden grünen Wälder darunter bilden Mala Paklenica und Velika Paklenica ihre eigenen dramatischen hohen Wände. Der Park beherbergt zahlreiche Vogelarten und -kolonien, was ihn zu einem Paradies für Vogelbeobachter macht, und gelegentlich werden auch Wildtiere wie Bären und Wölfe gesichtet. Das Parkbüro befindet sich in Starigrad (StariGrad-Paklenica) und bietet alles, was Sie für einen sicheren Besuch benötigen, darunter Karten und andere nützliche Informationen sowie Ausstellungen und Toiletten (der Eingang befindet sich in Marasovići, etwas weiter nördlich).Heißer Tipp: Versuchen Sie, den Park in den kühleren Frühlings- oder Herbstmonaten zu besuchen, wenn er besonders grün und üppig ist.

I visited the Paklenica National Park during the fall season and this place was stunning, the park is very green at this time of the year. We were provided with map and tour guide at the Parks Office in Starigrad who helped us in our tour. The park is a gorgeous place.

The different bird species in the park added a beautiful look to the park. I was delighted to have a sight of the bears and wolves in the park, although i was scared when taming one the animals were completely harmless and beautiful.

I loved the convenience that came with my visit to this location. The staff was very patient and cordial. The offices provided me with maps, to safely navigate the area and hiking equipment. I enjoyed the great service and the experience of the location.

My friends and I engaged in various activities in this location. We started by hiking in the beautiful mountains. Secondly, we engaged in birdwatching and were awed by the beautiful and rare bird species in the location. We will visit again soon.

The park has very beautiful wild animals and wildlife, the savannah terrain is a really good landscape for the animals, we also toured the park in the rover and booked ourselves a villa just by the river so that we could see the animals relaxing and hydrate

The national park is a really great reserve with conducive climate for everything, camping and hiking and everything else adventurous you name it. I was lucky enough to carry my binoculars and i got to see different bird species as well.
