The neo-Romanesque church of this monastery was built from 1861 to 1881, and serves as a parish church. The main altar of the Blessed Sacrament was made in white stone by the Italian sculptor Ferraroni. In addition to this altar, there are four others, one of them being the altar of St. Francis. Particularly lovely are the stained glass windows made by Josip Notteri. The facade of the church is adorned with three portals. The monument made to honour the builder of the monastery, father Stjepan Vrljić, was made by the artist Josip Botteri. The monastery houses an archive and library, as well as an archaeological collection with artefacts of Illyrian, Roman and Old Croatian origin. Both the monastery and the church were rebuilt and upgraded several times. The construction took quite a while due to various administrative obstacles.
