The Academic Church of St Catherine in Zagreb
On the site of an old 14th-century church that was used for military purposes during the war with the Ottomans, in 1620 the construction of a Jesuit church and monastery began. The church was set on fire twice, but in 1674 it burned to the ground. After the restoration, it became known as the most famous and most beautiful Baroque church in which, in addition to liturgical celebrations, concerts of classical music are also held.
The interior of the church is one of the most beautiful examples of Baroque in Croatia, but it was badly damaged in the earthquakes of 2020, so it is currently not possible to enter the church.

My favourite spot in the church was the coat of arms embedded in the wall. It serves as a honour to the buried in the church.

The baroque architectural style used to style the building enchanted me. my colleagues and I had a fun time experiencing and seeing this ancient architectural style.

Nice church that we visited in Zagreb and had an amazing time. It has a fantastic overview that showcases the great city and has awesome views that are to live for. I enjoyed the sight of the wonderful outlook design of the church and it was rem,cable to watch and stare.

I enjoyed the liturgical celebrations and concerts of classical music held in this church. It was a fun experience that will stick to me for a long time.

We enjoyed the panoramic view of it from a spot behind and that church looked amazing from the exterior and the interior was superb too. The tour was amazing and we got to see the beautiful marble altar and took spectacular pictures.
