Dubrovnik ist von den fast 2 km langen Stadtmauern umgeben, für die es in der ganzen Welt bekannt ist. Im Laufe der Geschichte haben diese Mauern die Stadt Dubrovnik vor Feinden geschützt, und heute ziehen sie Besucher aus der ganzen Welt an. Bei einem Spaziergang durch die Mauern von Dubrovnik lernen Sie einige der imposanten Festungen kennen, die zur Verteidigung der Republik Dubrovnik dienten. Von den fünf Festungen sind drei ein fester Bestandteil der Stadtmauern - Minčeta, Bokar und Sv. Ivan, und zwei sind freistehend, Lovrijenac im Westen und Revelin im Osten. Die Festung Minčeta befindet sich auf dem höchsten Teil der Stadt und verteidigte die Stadt von Norden her. Seit 2015 findet hier der Mauerlauf statt, der sich über die gesamte Länge der Stadtmauer erstreckt. Diese historisch einzigartige Stadt wird aufgrund ihres reichen touristischen Angebots, der erhaltenen historischen Gebäude und Sehenswürdigkeiten oft als Museumsstadt bezeichnet. Jeder Schritt durch die kopfsteingepflasterten Straßen dieser Stadt ist eine Rückkehr in eine reiche Vergangenheit, die zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis wird.

Walking the high walls that sorround the city enble a magnificent view to the historical building structures. I had alot of fun looking over the beautiful housing through my walk across these walls

Be sure to walk along the city wall of Dubrovnik, a view of the whole city and the sea, it's hard to imagine how much effort people put into building it

It was fun touring the walls and i enjoyed my visit and walk on top of the walls around. The view of the city, streets and the houses was beautiful and it is awesome to visit the place in the morning hours before the temperatures of the sun are high and it's hot. We took a lot of beautiful pictures that were memorable. The medieval history of the place precedes it and we enjoyed getting to know about it on our tour.

Great architectural structure of the wall and it has several towers and turrets around them that we loved as we had our walk along the wall.

These walls are adjacent to the Adriatic sea. I loved walking along these walls. The breeze from the sea was just fantastic to look at. One could also cycle along this walls. The walls were built to protect the city of dubrovnik during invasion. As I walked along these walls, I managed to visit other historical sites such as Fort Lovrijenac
