Burnum is an archeological site, which was a camp and a city of the Roman legion. It is located 2.5 km north of Kistanje, in the interior of Dalmatia. The remains include a praetorium, the foundations of several rooms, an amphitheater and a waterworks. Burnum is also popularly called the Hollow Church and is one of the many ruins in the Balkans in folklore identified as the city of Trojan. To date, only two of the original five arches have been preserved (late 18th century Alberto Fortis mentioned three).Visitors can see the arches of the command building in the camp, the only military amphitheater in Croatia (in the area of the village of Ivoševci) and several walls of the military training ground.
