Principij is a complex of buildings of the military command of the southern sector of the defense system known as Claustra Alpia Iuliarum, located in the center of the river near the ferry port. The system was built in the middle of the 3rd century as the last line of defense of the center of the Roman Empire. Today, the archeological park is open to all visitors who want to visit the ancient Roman ruins and see the remains of this ancient culture.
