Vlaho Bukovac is one of the most influential modernist Croatian painters from the 19th / 20th century. century, and was born in Cavtat. Although he spent most of his life abroad, Vlaho was always very happy to return to his homeland, so he left a large number of his works here. In memory of him and his work, in the center of Cavtat in 2044, the Bukovac House was opened to the public, which is part of the Konavle Museum. Today in the gallery you can see over 200 of Bukovac's paintings, drawings and other works and collections.
