Samostan sv. Mihovil nad Limom
Legenda kaže da je samostan sv. Mihovila nad Limom utemeljio je početkom 11. stoljeća sv. Romuald, koji je prije toga živio kao pustinjak u špilji u Limskom kanalu. Od nekada vrlo moćne i utjecajne opatije danas su ostale samo ruševine. U crkvi sv. Mihovila sačuvali su se ostaci romaničkih fresaka, što su najstarije freske u Istri. Freske se mogu datirati u prvu polovinu 11. stoljeća i vjerojatno su najuščuvanije freske u Europi nastale u sklopu monumentalnog južnonjemačkog slikarskog kruga.

An interesting place for photoshoots. We were delighted by the designs in there especially the interior of the monastery and even took photos of the designs as a way of remembering it.

This church was built in the 11th century. I enjoyed touring it and seeing the frescoes of St. Michael. The peace at this place was mesmerizing and relaxing.

The monastary of St Michael is a great place with frescoes paintings. My husband was amazed about this place because the painters used many colors in drawing and painting without having any error. Wonderful.

Great history that lies in the monastery and we enjoyed our visit to the archaeological site and loved the beautiful paintings and the guide was superb. Unforgettable moments.

I really loved the great monastery of St Michael. The place has a wonderful history since the monastery has housed many religious people mostly monks.
