Archaeological excavations at the "Igralishte" site near the football stadium in Crikvenica have confirmed that "Ad Turres" is the name of ancient Crikvenica. And not only that, but also that the historical development of the city has lasted for more than 2,000 years! In addition, the local ceramics workshop of Sextus Metilius Maximus was discovered for the production of amphorae, usable and construction ceramics, unique in terms of its preservation in Croatia.
