This beautiful wild beach is located about seven kilometers from the town of Vela Luka, on the eastern side of the Korchula island. Its rugged shore is part pebbled, part rocky, naturally indented and creating a number of smaller sections that offer seclusion and privacy. The sea comes in shallow at all parts, with the sea bed covered with pebbles and stones, and in case you usually need water shoes for that kind of terrain, you might want to bring a pair, just in case. The turquoise coloured sea here is wonderful for swimming and snorkeling. The quality of the calm water means that you’ll be able to see the local flora and fauna pretty well. After an enjoyable and invigorating swim you’ll find that the pine tree forest surrounding the beach is the perfect place for rest, picnic or an afternoon siesta. Since this is a wild beach you won’t find any amenities here, so bring your own food and drink. You shouldn’t let this stop you - Luchice beach is that Mediterranean oasis of wilderness and privacy you’re looking for, with parking available a 5 minutes’ walk away.
