According to some findings the old stone Fortress Zrin was built in the 13th century. For many centuries it served to protect the local population from the Turks and other conquerors. For many years it was the center of life in this area. Today, the fortress is named after the Zrinski princes who ruled the town from the first half of the 16th century.

The Zrin fortress is located along the river Una, opposite to today’s city center and parish church of St. Anthony of Padua. Walls and towers have been preserved for the most part and can be seen. Within the fortress, enclosed by stone walls, there is a spacious green meadow ideal for larger gatherings and meetups.
