Church of St. Mark - XIII. century, performed on a Romanesque basis was completed by the type of hall church. The southern portal is the most eloquent Gothic sculptural achievement in this part of Europe. Church of St. Mark is known, among other things, for the colorful roof tiles that form the coat of arms of Croatia, Dalmatia and Slavonia on the left side, and the coat of arms of the city of Zagreb on the right for the first time. Church of St. Mark is located on St. Mark square, on the east side of which is the Sabornica where the Croatian Parliament sits, and on the west Banski dvori where the Croatian bans once sat. Today they are the seat of the Croatian Government.
