Odysseus Cave is one of the biggest attractions on the Croatian island of Mljet. It is quite a characteristic karst cave - since its upper part collapsed and created a deep pit. The cave is connected to the open sea by a natural tunnel. In nice weather and low water it is even possible to swim According to legend, Odysseus spent seven long years here after the ship crashed on the rocks of the island of Ogygia, so this natural landmark got its name from him.
