A proud bearer of the Blue Flag, Kolovare Beach is one of the best and most beloved of Zadar beaches. It is located near the city center and, according to the Blue Flag requirements, it is fully equipped with all necessary infrastructure, including that for wheelchair users and disabled people, complete with wheelchair-adjusted toilets and a hydraulic ramp. The amenities include toilets, outdoor showers and changing booths. Beach parasols and lounge chairs are available for rent, and adjacent to the beach you’ll find a number of catering facilities, a beach bar, cafes and restaurants offering everything from ice cream and soft drinks to full lunch menus. First aid and a lifeguard service are also available here, with the latter located on observation platforms. The working hours of the lifeguard service are from 10:00 to 18:00. As for recreational activities you’ll find a children’s playground, volleyball and football courts. As for the beach itself, its northern part is within view of the historic part of Zadar and the southern side blends into the surrounding pine tree wood. The terrain is partly pebbled and party concrete, and well tended to. (Please note that the Blue Flag services are guaranteed from June 1 tpo September 30)
