The Church of John the Baptist is one of the oldest churches where it is possible to find some trace in historical writings. Thus, this church was first mentioned on March 1, 1377, with a note about its chaplain Gregory. It is believed that the church was built at the end of the 11th century in stone. It has remained so even now, preserved and restored and today it is one of the most valuable proofs of early Romanesque architecture.
