The northernmost of all Zadar’s beaches, Diklo is the go-to beach for anyone living outside of the city center. It stretches along a promenade and it is partly pebbled, partly concrete and partly rocky, and in places bordered by the holiday homes and rentals. Sea comes in shallow so access is easy and you can either walk into it from the pebbled parts of the beach or step down from the promenade. The sea bed is made of either gravel or larger stones. Natural shade won’t be hard to find since there’s plenty of it around, though some parts of the promenade itself aren’t shielded from the sun. You’ll easily find showers and changing booths, too, and a number of cafes and restaurants either adjacent to the beach or near it. There is a souvenir shop on the promenade, as well, in case you want to get yourself a memento of your Zadar holiday. As for additional fun, you can rent a jet ski or take a banana boat ride. While this beach is clearly a popular daytime spot, it is also a beautiful place for a sunset or an evening walk.
