You will find this uninhabited islet on the south side of the island of Vis, across from Rukavac. It is a protected natural site, and its Green Cave is a protected geomorphological monument. The latter is a must-see for anyone who enjoys nature’s phenomena. The unusual play of light that occurs as the sunlight enters the cave, illuminating the seabed and the entire cave with a lovely greenish glow, is a stunning, almost magical sight. Along with this opening in the dome of the cave there is also an entrance for swimmers, kayaks and smaller boats. The Green Cave is also a home to various birds, and the entire island is a nesting place for the yellow-legged gull. This is one of the favourite locations of anyone looking for an active holiday, since it can be reached by kayak. It is a frequent choice for daily field trips, too, since you can reach it in your own boat or a rented one.
