Kao centar općine, ovo malo primorsko ljetovalište na dalmatinskoj obali može se pohvaliti prekrasnom pješčanom i šljunčanom plažom. U izvorima se spominje 1070. godine, a doba starih Hrvata današnje područje Marine zvao se Drid, a samo mjesto se zvalo Bosiljna, koja se pak spominje u 9. stoljeću kao u sastavu Trogirske zajednice. Kada se krajenm 15. stoljeća pojavila opasnost od napada Turaka , biskup Franjo Maracel, 1495. daje nalog za gradnju Kaštela, unikatnog obrambenog sustava, koji se sastojao od kule na stijenama u moru i utvrde Citadele, koja je bila na kopnu. U utrobi posjetitelji će pronaći crkvu Sv.Ivana Krstitelja na trga Brce. Izgrađena u 16. stoljeću, kao jednobrodna građevina na pravokutnog tlocrta s kvadratičnom apsidom, šiljastim svodom i prekrivena kupom kanalicom. Svakako vrijedna spomena je i crkva sv. Jakova, izgrađena nakon opasnosti od Turaka, također 16. stoljeću, gdje se pronalazi prvi popis krštenih iz 1583. godine. Osim zapažene arhitekture, u blizini Marine nalazi se špilja sv. Filipa i Jakova, uz staru glavnu cestu. U špilji ćete pronaći kapelu, koju je posjetio car Franz Joseph I 1891. godine. U njoj su pronađeni brojni predmeti, poput prapovijesnih noževa, terina, šalica, čaša, rimskih novčića, glava na reljefima iz kasne antike i slično.

Being a historian i loved visiting the church of St. John the Baptist on Brce Square and the church of St. Jakov where the first list of baptisms from 1583 is found. near the Marina is the cave of St. Philip and James, along the old main road of notable architecture.

The accomodation rates at the guest house was fair especially for great money savers like me. The interior decor of the room were fabulous and guess what they also have jacuzzi in the hotel. I really loved it here.

If you are looking to visit and learn, then this is definitely the place for you. You get to enjoy the beautiful views, swim, learn and even carry home an artefact from years ago, if you so please. the restaurants and bars offer a variety of foods and drinks so you don't have to worry about starving or dehydration. It is not a crowded place but you will definitely find people who want to see the old church of St John the Baptist and the church of St Jakov. The architecture is superb and picture worthy.

The beautiful scenery of the beach was encouraging and provided a great insight in shooting my vlog. I also loved the great architectural design and art of the long entrance doors to the restaurant. Very nice.

The place has unique places to visit and we enjoyed our tour to the place. Beautiful sandy and pebble beaches with great views and we had fun with my friends. There are also several sites that we managed to visit with my friends at the place and it was a success to be there.
