This traditional tavern is located between the church of St. Simeon and the Five Wells. The tavern is often filled with guests around eleven o'clock at lunch, when locals snack on home-made salted anchovies or octopus salad. The menu consists of many traditional dishes that are specific to the Dalmatian area. Specialties are, of course, cured meat delicacies, baked dishes such as jhobotnica or veal, and seafood and fresh fish dishes. The handmade pasta in the sauce is also very tasty. Here the house specialties are sweet desserts- kalelarga cake or St. Anastasia cake, cherry cake with maraschino, homemade fruit liqueur. The wine list consists of numerous names of local Croatian winemakers, of which we definitely recommend some of the local Zadar wines, and it goes well with the menu, and the friendly staff will help you choose. In summer, in season, live music is frequent and will further enhance your gastronomic experience.
