I visited this place where I enjoyed exploring the old coal mines where it was believed the miners died. I felt strange when I walked out of here safe because it was believed that there were ghosts. I later visited the church in the cemetery. I loved the experience of visiting this old places.

There are archaeological sites to behold such as the cemetery which has a three nave church of St Hadrian is built. It was an educative tour as i learnt about the mining of coal in this place which shut in 1999 after 400 years in mining. I also learnt that this destination was the last in Croatia to shut down mining.

I enjoyed my visit to this place, a beautiful place with wonderful weather and beautiful mediterranean vegetation that allows you to experience a change in the atmosphere. The best part of the visit though is the chance to actually experience the traditions and cultures of the people here, it makes the experience even more unforgettable.

We came to this place on time to watch the traditional potato festival which was celebrated every year. We enjoyed delicious potato dishes, traditional music and dances and later the sweet homemade wine. It was an amazing experience. I loved it.

This destination is surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation which is mixed with olive groves and vineyards.We joined the locals in the festival of potatoes where the largest and strangest potatoes are brought for a competition. We tasted different kinds of potato dishes accompanied by the lively aura of music playing in the background.

The beauty of this location is how rich it is in its historical background. A visit to this place gives one a chance to just appreciate some of the history, a place that is rich in antiquity and history. I found it interesting and would recommend history enthusiasts to visit it.

I came to this place to find inner peace and spiritual nourishment. I visited several churches where I enjoyed listening to the choir and praying. I doesn't time at the churchyard which was quiet and welcoming. I loved my stay. I was able to get my peace again.

I loved the Romanesque style of the Church of St Lucija which depicts the creativity of the architects involved in building the church. Inside, there is a Glagolitic inscription on a stone custodian engraved in 1568 that gave us a reminiscence of the ancient times. We also toured the quarry where the selina type of stone was named.

If you want a new cultural experience, this is the place to visit in my opinion. I found the history of the place very interesting. A place one can visit to get a chance to actually experience central Istria in all its glory. The Locals are willing to let a person experience their culture and lifestyle. A lively place indeed.

The rich cultural life and traditions of this place were visible with the dressing and dishes that were served at this place. The locals were polite and respectful. I made friends with several of them and I was amazed by their hospitality.
