As early as 1838, the city physicist Dr. Wilim Bernhard Müller began minor works on the public promenade, which in the middle of the last century got its present-day appearance in the so-called English style. and gives a special dark green (coniferous) and light green (deciduous) atmosphere.

Of the indigenous trees, deciduous trees stand out, such as mountain maple, wild chestnut, chub, birch and hornbeam. Of the ornamental trees there are: red-leaved beech, plane trees, ginkgo avenue, ornamental plums, nettle, tulip, catalpa, Judas tree, magnolias, crimson oak, etc. and exotics: patissa, Weymouth pine, cypresses, Douglas fir and one specimen of young redwood, and ornamental spruce.
