The old town of Pag is located a kilometer away from the old town. Once upon a time, the Old Town was a large and rich city, fortified with strong walls. The exit port of the city was Koshljun, a place on the west side of the island. Salt was exploited in the Old Town, and there was a port for medium-sized ships.
