Mali Brijun is known for the fortification Fort Brioni Minor, which is the largest fortification on the Adriatic coast, its main task was to control the northern approach to Pula through the Fazhana Channel. Today it is closed to the public except at events organized for a short period when it becomes the Ulysses theater scene. Meanwhile, organized routes sail around the island so visitors can see the pristine Mediterranean pearl.
