The Street of King Tomislav is the direct route leading from the Poljana Square to the St. Jacob’s Cathedral and is the main and the most popular street in the old part of Šibenik.

It starts just after you pass the Croatian National Theatre in Šibenik and takes you past dozens of cafes, several restaurants, jewelry shops, and various stores, all located on the ground floors of Šibenik’s charming stone houses. Every now and then a staircase leading up or down will take you off the main path and into the stone maze, and you’ll need but to walk down a side street to get to a church and a museum. The street will eventually take you right in front of the St. Jacob’s Cathedral and the City Hall.

The lovely stone-paved square between the two is the central location for many manifestations and concerts and is the main location of the International Children’s Festival.
