The town of Pucisca on the island of Brac is world-famous for its rich history, which is closely linked to the stonemasonry tradition. Interestingly, there is even a legend that tells us that the White House in Washington was built of Brač stone harvested from the Pucisca  quarry. Also, many sights are made of Pucisca  stone, and Pučišća itself was home to many artists. Today, thanks to a long tradition, there is a Stone museum located in the local high school of stonemasonry.
