One of the nicest ports on your cruise around the island of Vis will be the Port of Porat on the island of Biševo.

It is, in fact, a bay, five hundred meters long, cut into the island. At its end you will find a beautiful sandy beach. You can anchor in the central part of the bay. The depth of the sea there varies between five to ten meters, and the bottom is sandy, so be sure to anchor well. As there is no official anchorage in the port, or buoys, anchoring is free of charge. You’ll be quite safe from southern winds here, but the post is open to western and north-western winds which might rock your boat quite a bit when coming in strong.
