More than 1600 years old awe-inspiring olive tree observes and records every change on the Brijuni Islands. This is most likely one of the oldest olive trees in the Mediterranean, which is confirmed by a carbon age analysis study conducted on a sample of its wood tissue. Due to a severe storm, in the mid-1980s the olive tree cracked into two parts.
