Fiserman's house

The Fiserman's house was created out of a desire to pay tribute to the former fishermen of the Adriatic and the surrounding area. There are fewer and fewer fish and fishermen today. There are other stories, memories and objects, thanks to which we can at least partly get to know the way of life of our ancestors and present visitors with a rich heritage related to the sea, boats and fishing.

The Fiserman's house is located in Perchin Bay, where the inhabitants of Jadranovo have been fishing for tuna and stretching nets for centuries. The Fiserman's house was built for the needs of tuna fishing in 1878, and the works were financed by Stanko Mazhich, the tenant of the tuner. The whole bay is one of about forty historical locations of a unique way of tuna fishing in the Croatian Littoral and Kvarner, which, along with fishing for small blue fish, marked the development of fishing in this part of the Adriatic.
