Namely, the function of the Cres tower in history was to defend the city, and it was built in the 16th century for the Venetian authorities.
Its solid walls also had a defensive function, and in each corner of the walls there were circular towers - two on the sea side and two on the land side, for the purpose of an observation post. Over the past century, the only surviving tower has been restored several times, with the fact that its original appearance has not changed. From the tower, the view extends to the beautiful harbor, the surrounding houses, olive groves and untouched nature.
