Church of St. Ivana Krstitelja was built in 1873, most probably on the site of an older one, and in 1875 it was blessed by the famous Istrian bishop Juraj Dobrila. From the older Kaldir church, a picture of St. John the Baptist, which is today located in the church of St. Stjepan in Motovun. The Kaldir parish church was renovated in 1923 and 1985. In 1915, a 25-meter-high bell tower was erected next to the church.
