Church of Our Lady on the Square

The late Gothic church of Mother Bojzha, which dominates the Square on the right side of the western gate, was built by master Dento in 1425 by order of a local peasant - nobleman Petar Berachich. This testifies that in the Middle Ages in Grachishche there was a privileged class that had money to build churches, but also profane palaces like this one of Solomon. In the church, a large wall painting of the Adoration of the Kings from the same period extends along the entire length of the east wall. Many will wonder what the nails nailed between the blocks of the outer wall of this beautiful church are - the legend says that during the past they were nailed to the Assumption by barren women in the belief that after that they would conceive by the grace of God.
