Bokar ist einer der fünf wichtigsten Türme auf der Stadtmauer von Dubrovnik. Er befindet sich am westlichen Ende der Mauern, in der Mitte der Festung Lovrijenac. Der Turm wurde 1570 nach den Plänen von Michelozz erbaut und fertiggestellt und war aufgrund seiner Lage zum Meer hin für Artillerieübungen geeignet. Heute dient dieser Ort als schöner Aussichtspunkt, von dem aus man herrliche Fotos von der Altstadt machen kann.

The climb to the fortress was a beautiful experience. I mostly loved the history behind it and its architecture. The view from above gives a panoramic view of the the surroundings.
